So I just got a Free Nissan Hardbody 4banger 4x4.. And my buddy needs a project at Wyotech

My dad has this nissan at his campground down at tygart LAke as a beater to move trailers.. Well It turns out he gave it to me.. Anyway I sold my Jeep due to my lil boy being born and Ive wanted something to beat in the mud!

Anyway What do you guys think.. My buddy is in Fabrication in wyotech and in Jan he needs a project vehical as his project! So He wants to add a solid axle and remove the Bed cut the frame from behind the cab since its rotted.. and build from there! ITs stricly offroad so we are welding the rear diff and trying to come up with a solid axle up front depending on what side the pumpking will be on.. We have yet to actaully take a look at this truck..

Any opinions? I got a bunch of steel I had laying around and a fuel cell.. and the truck was free.. So ill be looking for an solid axle.. Wheels and tires and some kind of steering set up

Go for it! There's not to many Nissan's on the trails. For the front I believe most use the D44 from the 79 and down F-150. http://www.purenissan.com/suspension2.htm

Awsome, free truck to wheel and free build to go with it? I'd be on that like flies on s&@t. Don't forget to post lot's of pic's during the build.

If they are stock chevy wheels your gonna have to bore the hubs out a little, nissans run a slightly larger hub than gms. What tires are mounted on the Nissan wheels? Might have some interest depending...

z or KA 2.4 under the hood?

If the case is drivers side output, the common axle to swap is a d44 from a grand wagoneer.

Grand wagonerr's are 6 lug right? My buddy had a set behind his garage ill have to see if there still there.. Also the grand wagoner.. Thats the one with the d44 rear axle thats offset correct? I believe thats what he got
