Kim's JK build

Since the big TJ is going through some changes that will take a month or two this winter (whenever i get around to working on it) so the JK "aka kim's ride" needs a real lift so we can wheel it this winter... so right now it's:

franken lift (unlimited springs/rubishocks) and 35's, orf front bumper, rugged ridge rear bumper, smittybuilt classic rockers.

I just ordered the rock krawler 2.5" with progressive front springs, teraflex bump stops, and rancho rs9000lx 9 way adjustable shocks with in cab wireless ride controller (that was a free bonus).

I have 2 big ass boxes with bushwackers in them at home, as well as a winch plate and the JK is getting the superwinch X9 with synth line that's currently on my TJ.

Lastly i'm going to trade rear axles with my buddy nick. I'll get a rubi D44 with 5.13's (so i get an e locker) and he gets cash and my open D44 with 5.13's and he's going to add a super 44 kit with an ARB.

This should shape up to be a pretty nice little wheeler

i started tonight with installing the flares (i can't have anything aftermarket laying around, it drives me crazy!)



not everyone likes the way these looks but she does, and it's her jeep so i'm building it the way she wants it.

holy crap i got way more lift than i anticipated lol... i'll post daytime pics tomorrow (maybe)


2" lift rancho shocks are actually shorter than stock lol... exchanging them tomorrow

the stupid seal on either the trans or the tcase is leaking pretty badly, so i figured i'd take my time and pull that out and while it's down do everything i've been wanting to do (before the baby comes)

42" iroks
17" KMC enduro's OR 17" raceline aluminum wheels (still debating)
new corbeau seats
35 spline stubs and machining the unit bearings for them
front SOLID drive flanges
new 10,000 lb winch
yellow top relocated to the back
mean green alternator
highline the front fenders, trim the comp cut a little more
CJ tailgate
radhoop with a little stinger (like the genright one)

why the mean green? i thought they were just for running a butt-ton of accessories and youve never seemed the type to put 47 daylighters on your rig

its between that and dual batteries... by the time i do the dual battery conversion i can run a single yellow top and a mean green... mostly for the winch

They're the ones I ordered but they were supposed to be for a 2" lift... 4wd

i added a rugged ridge tire carrier and it made the rear sag a little bit... so added a winch and winchplate up front to balance it out
