    Pontiac g6 warranty question

My sis's friend has a 2009 or 2010 G6. She got it stuck on RT 60 during the recent snow storm and apparently ruined the transmission trying to get it out. She asked me how much it will cost to fix the transmission but I think GM slaps 100k mile drivetrain warranty on those cars and it should cover it? Is breakage resulting from getting stuck in snow covered?

Dont even mention getting stuck ever again. The answer is I dont know what happened.

I was just told that her friend said the warranty has expired? A 2009? Don't they all come with something like a 3 year basic warranty to cover the regular crap and a 100k mile powertrain warranty?

Unless she bought it used from a dealership other than a GM dealer...but even then, it should still have a factory warranty. Best thing to do is for her to call and ask -- and like Steve said, DON'T mention anything that happened-- only that it doesn't work properly.
