I just installed a spare transfer case with a sye and 2 low kit into a tj wrangler (4.0 32rh 3spd 231) I bought before I left for work and after getting everything buttoned up i noticed I have a bad leak, I think its the output seal of the tranny, It fills up the cavity between the tranny and tcase and runs out a small hole in the housing. I was wondering how hard it would be to change that seal and if anyone has done it? I found a link and was wondering if this was the basic method or if there were any certain tricks I should know about?www.jeepforum.com/forum/f19/3spd-auto-rear-seal-replacement-295951/
I work for a gas company so I'm gone for two weeks and I would like to have a game plan when I get home to get it fixed in a timely manner. I think this is the right seal I need?www.autozone.com/autozone/parts/Timken-Transmission-Seal/1999-Jeep-Wrangler-4WD/_/N-jdmiaZ6o216?aqs=4294860656&counter=2&itemIdentifie r=226706_0_0_3030%2C7910 Any insight you guys could give is appreciated.
