    Tundra?

I'm looking to simplify my life a little bit and I'm going to liquidate my fleet and focus on priorities. I'm looking at trading the JK in on an 07 tundra trd sr5. It's a double cab, shortbed with the 5.7 and 93k. What do you guys think about these compared the 07+ gm trucks, titan's, or ram's? All would have the larger engine and be 1/2 ton models. I like the tundra's a little better than others, but I may be able to get a lower mileage or newer truck than the one I'm looking at. Truck will need to haul home improvement/building supplies, coal, haul a boat, pull a landscape trailer, etc. Also, be good in snow.

    I'll be selling my 00 ram 1500, 09 JK-U, 08 suzuki c50, and 05 z400.

Dunbar-how do you like the ones that you've have/had?

I've loved mine. They've been awesome. The only complaint is some get a wierd bed rattle. There's a tsb and Toyota will add stiffeners if needed. I haven't noticed it much on mine though

It tows awesome. No complaints in the power department.

Really I have no complaints. Although supposedly 07-09 is slightly different than 10-11

Should I be concerned with the highish miles? 93k for around $18,000.

I dunno man... I can't say I'd do it but that's just me. 18 grand can buy a lot of truck... But maybe not as new

There's no specific concerns. It's just a lot to spend with that many miles. If you do a 5 year loan how many miles are you gonna have by then ya know...

I'm not saying it's not worth it... Sticker on my truck was 38,500. They aren't cheap

Thats highish miles.... I got mine an 02 for 12,000 it only had 40,000 miles on it. If you got 18,000 grand to spend I would go older and lower miles. But thats just me.

Dealer I talked to last week just had a white double cab trd sr5 traded today. It's an 08, 25k and it will be certified for $25,900. There are a couple of dings on the bed side that i hope they'll take care of (no one was there when I looked at it). I feel a little better about this one, I just hope we can get the numbers where I need them.

yeah, I've been looking. that's their asking price. I'm going to go down monday to see where I can get them. If it can't go any lower, there are others out there. I'm in no hurry. As soon as I can figure out what is wrong with my dodge, it's going up for sale so i'll probably have a little more cash to play around with and no more maintenance payments as high as a new truck payment...

Look into the Titans as well. They are solid trucks and are great for towing. My brother has one and it's nice.

The Titans don't hold up well to towing. Small axles, etc. And Nissan has gone to crap in the past 10 years.

Signing the papers on the white tundra thursday. They came down to where I needed to be between trade and price. Bed side will be repaired (or replaced, it was just wrote up as a repair job taking 8 hours with paint and respraying the liner extra). It is a certified trd sr5 double cab. Spray-in bedliner, stainless (looking anyway) side steps, 5.7, 27k, new tires and looks brand new inside and out. I know it wasn't the best deal out there, but I'm not willing to invest that much time and effort into driving around and spending hours upon hours at various dealerships. This one is close and the salesman treated me and my wife very well (for a salesman...).

Picked up the white walrus tonight.

It will go to the body shop in a week or so to have the bedside repaired. The power is amazing compared to my dodge and JK. Love it!!!
