Over pressurized crankcase? Is your pcv working? Did you put one of those stupid breather caps on? Some of those you have to "punch open" in order to let the motor breath. I had a motor do this to me one time. Blew oil out the valve cover and dipstick tube.

Looked at it the other night.. the CCV (PCV) isn't hooked up.. has a glorified road draft tube and the inlet side of the CCV is actualled reversed. Remember the late model YJ and XJ's used a CCV system with a calibrated orifice elbow and an open elbow to create a ventrui effect to help draw the crankcase pressure up and out. Who ever had the rig before has the orfice elbow acting as a road draft tube like a 55 belair.. and the inlet plumbed into the intake.

Plus the valve cover gasket is shot... Plumb the CCV up like I showed you on my XJ and replace that cover gasket and gromet. You won't find a listing for the PCV "valve" at the parts store.. it will only list the elbow.. the elbow acts as the PCV valve. You will need only (1) of the calibrated orfice and (1) new gromet along with your gasket. You will only need one since where the elbow isn't there on a 2.5 do to you missing 2 cylinders Don't be mad my TJ has the angry squierrl syndrome too.. they are just on steriods... In place of the second and open elbow you have the threaded barbed fitting on the front of the valve cover.

If you need any other help you know where I live.
