So I'm going to ask this here. Cause u guys have been in the snow more then me..

I'm lookin at goin with the 37x12.50 hummve take off rims and tires, double bead locks, heard the old ones are horrible in snow, but nothing that say the new ones would be as bad, anyone have any experiance with them?

I'm assuming you are talking about Military Hummer tires. Military tires have a very high durometer rating on them. Making the rubber very stiff. Deep snow i'm sure they'd be fine. But I bet they suck on ice. Which tires are you talking about? These ones..... ? I'd sipe the middle lugs and call it a day.

Yes, I'm talkin about those military 37's..

Where can I sit them? I know if i buy a groover.. but any body that has one..

Would sipping the tire effect treadlife?

siping does reduce tread life but those tires have a eleventybillion mile treadlife anyway

Few guys I knew of runnin them on older diesels in the snow, they didn't complain, they said it went just like any other heavy ass truck in the snow. I'd groove those things and slap some weight in the bed of your dodge for winter time and call it good.

I had a set on my old K20 - their about even with an A/T I'd say but don't do as well on smooth slick surfaces.

A vote for siping them - you'll appreciate it on the ice, not just going, but stopping. Lots of hills around here obviously and lots of run-off ice patches on the roads.

dude don't even worry about reducing treadlife on those tires. siping them will help with the ice. they weren't bad on the hmmwv but could be better. most of the ones you are going to buy that are 75% or better have about 50,000 miles on them. you're truck will die before those tires do.
