Curious as well in case it's a "mechanics discretion" type thing or trying to slide by on bald dry rotted tired with no headlights, seat belts, and your brake lines clamped shut with vise grips...

My truck hasn't had a rear sway bar since it was about 6 months old. I don't know if that's a deal breaker or not. Emissions is a PITA though.

Remove the brackets completely, chances are they'll be over looked. Some vehicles came without them. Dont ask for them to be overlooked, when I'm asked and dont know you its a fail.

Basicly... don't make it obvious they are missing so it just looks like there never was any and you should be fine.

Didn't we just go over this like three or four weeks ago.

I am not a ball buster but don't cry if I fail your junk for being unsafe. If the stuffs there from the factory and is in the code it needs to be there. It is a SAFETY inspection afterall

There are a bunch of us on here that make our living wrenching and depend/require our PA SI cert. to put food on the table. If we pass your junk even though "the lights work when you hit the dash, the tires had tread on them at some time, and the floor is only rusted through in 3 spots" we might get fined or worse. We all went through this a while ago:

Just like we don't post up or promote wheeling spots that may not be legal, we don't post up pictures of people tearing up trails.. if you "know a guy" don't post up where he works or promote the shop on here.

My two cents is our hobby has enough trouble keeping trails open and staying on the right side of the PR lime light.. the more rigs that are registered on the road but are illegal hurts the cause. If you need help getting it legal lets help you out.

Sway bars aren't really a safety item are they? Thats all he was asking, not "hey i dont have a brake light on my pass side but don't feel like fixing it, can you tell me where to go so that theyll pass it?" I don't see the need to get all dickish about it him asking a simple question.

Jesus Christ, this place is getting as bad as JF, people have been on the board 2 months and are getting all high and mighty F*$!@# inspection nazi. It's a goddamn sway bar. You telling me your tires are all tucked up under the wheel wells and fenders like they should be? I mean that's a SAFETY issue, you could throw a rock on the highway and shoot through a windshield and kill someone.

I feel this was directed at me. If you took the time to read my post it says I know a few I did not mention any names of people shops etc. And most importantly LOL as it was a joke.

If its way beyond PA legal you might want to get it corrected before you try a state inspection station
