    Local transmission shops?

I noticed the Jeep was getting hard to shift a few months ago and have just kinda lived with it. The syncros aren't lining up or how ever you describe that, I am considering just upgrading to an nv4500 but figured I would at least look into having the nv3550 rebuilt,(it only has like 20K on it?) any recomendations on shops, quality/ price? I don't want to wait till it goes to have to decide.

Haven't done anything with it yet. Looking like a febuary- ish project. And after thinking about it I'll probably have it done up home, Knowing the people gets things done cheaper and with better quality.

I figured I would check to see what fluid you are running in it. I say this because, I got lazy and decided to have someone else change mine onetime, and they put some gear lube that was way too thick in, and when it got a little cold out, the thing didn't want to shift at all.

I'm running whatever came in it when I bought it I have Penn's oil Syncromesh sitting here waiting to do a change just haven't gotten around to it yet though. Now that I'm done with classes as of today and next thursday is actual graduation I will have substancially more free time and hopefully a better job to be able to afford to work on and modify the Jeep to my preferences.
