    Who's hunting?

I'm heading to State Game Land 51 tomorrow afternoon to do a 3 day of hunting at the game land and camping at Ohiopyle state park.

Hopefully I'll tag a deer during these days!

I just really started archery hunting this year. I did a little last year but this year I felt adaquately prepared. Last night I shot a button buck, double lung shot. I'm pretty happy with myself.

Going to try the south side of 51 first cause I found a crapple tree patch in the woods, a lot of trails running through it and half eaten crapples. Plus it's really close to a river/creek.

Then there's a food plot on the south side if i don't see anything at the crapple spot. A buddy is hunting the north side to see if he gets lucky.

If I don't see anything in those 2 days then I'll head to star junction and give my luck a try there at a private land.

Been out a few times around here, saw a real nice 9 point laying dead in a ravine - yote's had been at work on it. I'll be cranking up the archery hunting now that the leaves are coming down. Good luck everyone, stay safe out there.

Well, I didn't shoot a thing but got some quality time in the woods!

I'm going to look at local places that I can hunt, anyone knows the rule on hunting places around Jeannette/Hempfield township/Greensburg/Mount Pleasant areas?

I'm new to the whole state game, state land hunting, so how do I find out if a land is hunt-able? If you know of a few spots could you point me in that direction?

I only got a week left before I leave on business so I would love to get a Doe in the freezer before I leave!

We had a ton of action on pheasants yesterday. Saw at least 8, a ton of other hunters, had 3 that presented shots and put 3 in the bag.

Man those things are domestic in Game land 51, I was able to walk up to them within 4 feet before they flew off.

But i wasn't there yesterday, i hit a private land in hope of a deer.
