Nice buck! we were out all day today. Saw a couple buck, i never had a shot. Someone in my group shot a big body little rack nine point around 10am

I went out for a little bit up in Titusville area, torrential rain had nothing moving. Heard very few shots on what typically is WWIII in the woods. Saw lots of bucks in archery, but no legal shooters.

Took me 15 years to get my first buck - also in 2011. Steve, hopefully we can keep the momentum going this year now that we broke the ice!

There's been a lot of huge bucks running around my area this year too. With North Park across the street, they have a pretty big sanctuary that gets hunted only by Whitetail Mgmt company during archery (supposedly). I've seen several monsters in the last few days. Of course they usually disappear by the time the season rolls around.
Good luck everyone! I got a buck and doe in archery, but i have an extra doe tag for 1B so i'll be in the woods a few days too.

I sent my doe tags late.... hoepfully they will come in soon. Got to get my shotgun sighted, running slugs for the first time, and going to use an eotec with a magnifier that i won... becuase if it works for the AR 9and they have a listing in the book for holdiover with 12ga slugs) then why not?

Azzy you using a rifled barrel shotty?
Eotec magnifier w/holdover sounds like a nice setup to me, in particular for the rather dense woods that i usually hunt. Don't need a 3x9 when it's usually a 50yd shot.
