Finally, a news article about it.

It's depressing for wheelers, but I don't look at closing a place like Wellsville to better the area with industry is a bad thing. I would be upset if they were just closing it for no reason and leaving it sit a scared mess of an area.

as bad as it sucks I have to agree with ya....at least it's not just going to sit there like the thousands upon thousands of acres PA deams as "Game Lands".......

Pa State Gamelands is home to some of the best hiking in the state. If only they would open it up to backpacking...

I actually got lectured by a game warden once who stopped me while hiking in gamelands near Clarion... "this land is for hunting not hiking and you don't even have a hunting license so I don't see why you think you should just come out here and do whatever you want with the land blah blah blah blah"
