I think I'm going to quit wheeling and turn my jeep into a street machine. I'm going to start by putting on these rims and then maybe get some neons to put under it.

well just seeing that site ruined my day. i knew that there were some people that didnt take jeeps offroad. But they flame people for lifting a YJ. And the Mod didnt know what a YJ was, he thought it was a CJ. People like that make me extremely sad

I used to look at that forum every once and a while for a good laugh. There are regular posts over there on how to remove TJ roll bars to make them "look cleaner". They are so used to people coming there and bashing on them that any hint of a sarcastic post is deleted and the member banned. It is really pretty funny that they take it so seriously...

Wow after looking through a few threads there I didn't know whether to laugh or cry.
This sounds like high school. Why waste your time pissing others off just because they are into something different than you?
If I had the money, I would probably give up my Wrangler and the off-road lifestyle and drive around town everyday in an '07 SRT8. Not because I don't enjoy wheeling anymore, but because I don't have the time necessary to wheel every weekend, wrench on it everyday, and still drive it to and from work.
As far as I see it, "to each their own". I'm sure they sit back and laugh at me each year when I dump $2K into a vehicle that is only worth $7K all together.
Drive an SRT8, it will make you change your mind.
Because its Street Jeep, who races a YJ or XJ on the street, they have absolutely no aerodynamics that benefit them in any way. Removing the roll cage for a cleaner look... Great idea now you have no protection what so ever in a roll over... Must I go on?

I can see both ways...but if I had a dodge neon and like wheeling, I wouldn't lift it and throw some 44"s under it.So why use something like a jeep to race/rice?

Also the thought of turning my jeep into a street jeep makes me wanna. Those are my winter rims and I run 31x11.50 LTB's on them. The only reason I have those is because I bought my jeep with them on it and I never had the stockers. I'm taking the 34"s off because they are mounted on chrome rock crawlers, and we all know what chrome does in the salty winter.
The funny thing is about those rims is that they cost more money than my good rims! I seen them at summit for $169 a rim!...really who would pay that for those!?
