Jeep needs to produce something like that ASAP.
Looks alot like an AEV brute, right down to their heat-reduction hood, and high-clearance front fenders...Even has the same trademark Jeep bumper and Warn winch...

my dreams of a gladiator style Jeep pickup may be lived through one of those...
ATTN DC: DONT **** THIS ONE UP!!!

Women have clothes and shoes....we get welding and tools!....and the women!
Looks like an AEV conversion to me also but I do like it! That is right up my alley. I would need a extended cab verson to haul the family.
Looks like a redesigned AEV Brute to me. Why would DC put AEV rims on a prototype truck? The Jeep prototype looked nothing like that.
That is the old TJ style body, if they are going to do a prototype, they would use the new JK body style.
yea i think thats just a AEV not a prototype. but according to petersons 4Wheel and ofroad December issue, in 2009 " Dodge Ram redesigned; Jeep commander restyled; possible introduction of Wrangler-based jeep Gladiator pickup..." So there is still hope for a pickup but its gonna look more like the jk not the TJ
88YJ with some stuff
74 cj5. 360 powered!
F150 ecoboost.
Read the update, its not DC based. That thing is actually an AEV customs TJ, if it were Jeep, they would have made it on the JK platform not the late model TJ frame.

I really liked the gladiator concept and I wish they would build it.
I've been going to the Detroit Auto show for the past couple of years and when the gladiator was introduced, there happened to be a Daimler Chrysler engineer there on his day off, he said that there were two or three pre-porduction gladiators outside of where he worked. He said that a lot of employees really liked it and it would be on the road within 2 years.
The next year, I asked one of the people at the jeep display when the gladiator would be built, he said that it was sent out west for a photo shoot and then it was lost.
How could you lose a concept and what happned to the others that the engineer saw?
