    15 day thrash fest

Sooooo, I had the bright idea to try and re do a ton of stuff on the heep in a very short amount of time. Admittedly I was trying to bite off waaaay more than was going to be possible, but hell if your gonna dream dream big right? The funniest part of this entire build is that it started out one way and ended up going in a total different direction (damn tube rollers) This is the short list of what was done. Highlined hood, made new front and rear fenders, new winch mount which took up to much time, door bars for wheeling, and painted the entire Jeep This was all done while still working my real job on 2nd shift. Needless to say there were a few really late nights/early mornings. Flame away almight fab gods of the internet
1st Cut off the front of the frame, wish I would have cut it back at least to the grill but oh well I will remember for the next one.

This is the begining of the bumper/winch mount. The bottom is 1.75x.188. Altogether we used 1.75, 1.50., 1.0 and even a piece of .750 on this stupid thing.

In my goal to go green we even recycled the old winch mount but had to add some notches to make it fit good.

Fully tig welded than tossed in the powdercoat oven for good measure.

next was the hood. I have never tried this before so it was new to me. But if your gonna do a hood, this is the best way to do it.

Here you can see I used a small flange tool to tuck the factory edge of the hood up under the area where I cut off. This adds all the strength back into the hood instead of just hacking the bottom off and leaving it flismy.

mock up to get a idea if it will work

Then fully tig welded the entire piece moving around to keep the hood as straight as possible for the least amount of body work.

Next was the fenders. We had no intentions of buying a tube roller but something must have sparked the interest. This was the 1st time messing with one of these contraptions. You will never be able to tell but the front fenders and rear fenders are all rolled to the same radius even though they dont look like it. I guess a little ocd kicked in that night.
    Fronts in mock up stage

Again everything was tiged to keep body work down

Then came the rear. What a fun little project lol. These took up way to much time but in the end they came out pretty cool. Some crazy ass tube rolling and bending on these Fkers
Trying to make this bs look presentable

The rear section took some little filler pieces to make it look decent, not sure if it will show up in the pics or not.

Also thru together a set of swing out door bars together for wheeling. My gf always said she felt like a rock was going to come in the side so hopefully this will do the trick. I dont really like the way they look but they will only be used when wheeling so I guess it doesnt matter.

Your right, it doesn't look like the radius is the same front to rear.

It's amazing how nice and clean the tube makes the body edges look. Looks great!

    Nice work Jason.

Did you consider going higher with the rolled tube in the front & rear like this? (This is what I'm considering for mine)

Not on the front. I was hoping to do something completely different in the back but didn't have time.
