im not a fan og the whole cali style rockabilly rat rod exaggeration, but then i hate cali in general. Personally, i can build a monster chevy motor given the funds but all i know about body work is how to replace the grille on my XJ every 6 months. im all for a 600HP car that looks like it was just dragged out of a field. if it runs right, who cares how it looks? on a side note, petina on old chevy trucks and chop top model a's make my pants fit tighter.

i remember when i was a kid going to a car show with my dad and seeing a model A chopped with two engines, cant remember what engines tho. been trying to figure out a practical way to do that for years now
    96 xj rust
    some old chevy rust
    some motorsickles

    and a dirtymax

I hate them with a passion, wasted engines and steel. Most look like azz and are unsafe.

And they probably feel the same way about most of your 'streetable' rigs.

i love cars/trucks like this filthy three. I like when it's actually real not someone trying to make it look old. I'd love to get an old truck and put a modern drivetrain in it. I'd love to have the looks of a classic old farm truck with the modern drivability of a new car.

I see that monstrosity all the time, always gets me laughing!

I tend to have the whole 'to each their own' mindset when it comes to different car types, hell the kid with the DelSol and dual wiper blades is just as proud of the guy who fully restored his 53 BelAir to factory spec as is the guy who made a gasser out of a sorry shape carcass of a 55 Chevy 150, as is the roll coal big stacks in a Super Duty guy... etc etc. I keep my personal comments and thoughts to myself or quietly among the people I'm with at any cruise. Some real patina and classic builds I can dig (even some of the faked patina I can handle, they make cool 'shop trucks' for actual shops and wouldn't cross out the idea of building one at work out of a retired mid-late 50s chevy wrecker), junk ass rats are a negatory for me though, I'd almost rather see new 'throwback' showroom cars at a cruise...
