Alright, I think me and the old man are going to take a trip up there saturday morning. I called yesterday and the lady said they would take brass in any caliber as long as it was all sorted out by caliber ( thats gonna take a lil while), I guess mixed calibers jam their machine or something.

I told her I was going to be mainly turning in .45 acp casings and she said they will only take them if they have large primers? I didn't know there were different sized primers? Anyone know anything about this?

Can they fill your order on the spot? The website makes it sound like they have a backlog.

By the way our conversation went, here was my understanding: bring the sorted brass, they weight it, you pick what you want to buy, they discount you for what you gave them, then you're out. The website does sound that way though. I may call again to verify.

    Ya...ya...ya..., thanks for contributing

Here you can find the black Friday flyers for Gander Mt, Dicks, and lots more. Dunhams should be out this Sunday.

    http://www.slickguns.com/black-friday-2012

The only thing that caught my eye is the 1000 rounds of bulk Remington UMC 9mm for $199 at Gander Mt, third to last page, bottom right. That is the about the same as the stuff I posted before at SG Ammo but you can pick it up at the store. Hopefully they have enough to sell. With tax that is about $212.

I'm told you should call to make sure they're not on backorder before ordering.

Anyone know of any deals on STEEL AK 30 round mags?

In the past few years companies have been making .45 ACP with both small and large primers. The only way that I know to check is to visually inspect them to sort them.

It's available, it just isn't cheap. Sportsman Supply on 356 has enough to take over a banana republic. They won't sell it to their walk in customers. You have to bid for it on gunbroker or auction arms. I'm all for capitalism, but I'd imagine that these guys are alienating their local base.

There are a lot of shops like that... and their customers will remember it when this all clears up. I can wait for the garage sales when we can buy .223 by the pound.

Ya. It seems like ar prices are coming down. But shops are still high.

If you don't mind paying shipping there's still hand gun ammo available online. Cabellas has been very good to us lately.

If anybody is planning on a large order of .40, .45, 9mm, .22 or .223, all brass only, I'd be interested. I've looked around but don't shop for gun related stuff online much and don't know what places have good policies, shipping, etc.
It's not illegal, it's frowned upon.

Dunhams, and Gander in Latrobe/Greensburg get their ammo shipment in Thursday night. They have raised prices but not insanely high. That really doesnt bother me, supply goes down demand goes up, prices go up. Both have 2 box limits. I have been able to find everything except 7.62x39. Tho recently Dunhams got some in at 10 bucks a box.

Ive bought from them before... and did the brass trade in (used to grab it from a few shooting spots where no one wanted it). Last order was 1/2 off. But that was before the crazy.
