    00+ 4.0

i'm building a stroker and need a 4.0HO to build it from. high miles but running is preferred since it will be fully rebuilt anyways.

i only need the long-block, must have been originally equipped with distributorless ignition.

Perhaps I am wrong, but I thought that the block from 98-02 on the 4.0 was the same?

It is. The heads on the distributor less ones have places to bolt the coils though.

Other than that they're the same. Oh. Well supposedly the newer ones have weak rods vs the 97-00.
taking unsafe rigs to a whole other level

Its my understanding that the pistons 9which you probably arent using) are the week spot, as they tend to crack. That and the 0331 heads.

yep! new .030" over pistons will be used in the buildup with stock 4.2 rods ... the head i don't really care all that much since this motor will never really get ragged on.

still need one, hopefully pretty soon, to start this build!!
