    I am needing a mechanic

I have a Wrangler TJ and am wanting someone to replace my heater core and pitman arm. Does anybody know anyplace near Greensburg that can do it for a fair price?

    Thanks
    Derek

I can speak for myself and other home tench turners. It's to dam cold to be outside when ya dont have to be. Is your core leaking, or what? Can it wait a month or so?

Most guys on this site do their own work, so we kinda blow at mechanic reccomendations. I work in Greensburg but can't really think of anyone.

DMG can do it. Its about a 45 min ride for you but if you can schedule it with him there is a nice bar right around the corner to have lunch and a beer while he fixes it.

I think it might be leaking a little. I don't smell it or anything, but every once in a while, I notice something in the passenger floor board. I am more concerned with my heater not putting out enough heat.... I have a soft top and need the heater. I am from Tennessee and not at all used to this weather... lol I would normally do the work myself, but when I was reading how to do it, I thought I might just pay someone else to do this one. And I heard that you need to get a pitman arm puller to swap out the pitman arms? I called Pep Boys and they wanted $700 to do it!!!! I will do it myself, before I pay that much... I do have a garage that I can work in... What is the name of DMG's shop? I will give him a call and see how much he could do it for.

I worked for Pep Boys for a long time as an advisor and asst manager and whoever quoted you that was completely wrong. I cannot imagine it paying more than 1.5 flat rate, probably closer to .9. If you call back, ask for Chris the service manager. He should be able to set you straight. And I wouldn't let them tell you it needs an alignment. As long as they clock it you will be fine.

That and either a big breaker bar or an impact gun and it's nice and easy.
