The Jeep name is all that's left of Jeep. Get used to it, no one wants a harsh riding vehicle. We still have the XJ, its called a 4 door JK. And before long that will be a front wheel drive 4 cylinder built on the Compass platform.

I like it. My girlfriend just bought a new Grand Cherokee, while its not nearly as capable as the older models its an awesome ride. Once you go to a nice comfy ride its tough to go backwards!

    Unhappy

If a new Grand Cherokee and a Compass had an illicit, 1st cousin, love-child...

This is why I am happy the Scout will never return. To compete it would be some pussified, car like, uncapable, pos. The newer cars get the more I hate them. That thing is hideous.

That being said, I'm pumped for the Mazda6 diesel to be released. Especially if they make some mazdaspeed parts based off of their 24hr car

Which is why I would never buy a new vehicle, especially any of the jeeps (except 2 door JK). I think my XJ rides like a caddy with it's LA's and Bilstein shocks and that makes me leave it as is. If I were to ride in something even more nicer, then it's back to the drawing board with the cherokee and i'll be broke again.

We will never buy new again either. On a purely financial move, its never a good idea. But we dont do loans for stuff. Cant pay cash, we dont get it.

It is ^ lol, but it will still be offroad capable don't worry ! Its an Alfa Romeo really. Thats who designed the dart. So out of curious whats the life expectancy on this new 9 speed ? Chrysler had trouble designing a well made 4 speed, I can't imagine this will be a success.
