Whelp, I made the plunge, traded my XJ on this ride.

4.56's in the axles

79 HP60 Full Hydro steering

14 bolt ff with full truss rear discs

leaf front single tri 4 link rear with fox air shocks...42in swampers on Beadlocks

The rig is solid, needs some issues addressed like the ram mount up front and some frame things/welds etc. Likely going to backhalf it with the artec kit and do away with the stock notched frame and definately gotta get a real cage in it, too big not to have one.

Haha thanks guys. And Mykal, you went from a tough XJ to a 4cyl junker YJ, to an interesting and greatly entertaining TJ that needed a frame then back to an XJ. Pipe down LOL

I hope I can get it right and enjoy it as much as the guy I got it from did. It is going to get a paint job which i'm pretty sold on as a bit of a nostalgic tribute to my Dad's old Ramcharger, and i'm going to do some fab work to it that needs addressed, nothing deadly, just little things to head off before they go anywhere, few cracking welds need repaired, the stock frame was notched and plated in the rear to do the air shocks which is not a huge deal to me but i'm going to back half it to head it off at the pass, and redo the front double ended ram mount amongst a few other minor details, replace some bolts etc. etc. Overall it's a solid rig on 42's...

Haha I love how myrtle looks now. My dad had an 86 Royal SE that was the dark blue and white two tone. I'm going to do this in the royal blue with white accents I think...

As a matter of fact I do. Have a trailer for sale that is. 20 foot PJ. Worked great for my Scrambler on full widths with 42s! Just what you need.

^ Actually, it's funny you responded but I just got a good score on a 12k lb viking equipment trailer that needs some minor work (paint, tires, bearings repacked/brakes adjusted) For the princely sum of a few hundred bucks hehe! I am officially mobile as soon as the trailer is done and my cage is done in the Jeep...Spring time the wheelin will commence!

Little update, took this thing to Rausch for wheel to heal shook it down and it's pretty stable and capable. Bought another equipment trailer that was turn key for a screaming deal, and just got a deal worked out for a cage seats and harnesses. Will post some pics in the next few days.
