Steel tube for XJ rockers

Im looking to do tube rockers for this newer XJ, since it has no rockers now. Probably going to need to do some tie in work with other metal, but for now, it needs fixed before winter.

Im not looking to go bulletproof, so probably 1/8" stuff, that I can either have delivered to techshop, or picked up near my place outside South Park. Anyone got material from an old project that will do?

just use schedule 40 pipe if its for rocker protection. a lot cheaper, lot easier to work with and plenty strong

Nope.. I have no rockers to protect. Zilch. Oddly, the floor is in awesome shape up to the pinch, but the rocker is rusted well away. So my plan is to toss some 2x4 on there, and maybe after I stiffen the frame, tie them in.

We found the 96 has super rot, so getting this 99 on the road is priority 1!
