Not to start and arguement because I really dont know. But I thought during some parts of the year you were allowed to drive on state game lands on the trail. I know there were some trails over derry ridge that were closed during hunting season but open other times....

The trails are there for hunters to access the game lands on foot, and also for PGC/state vehicles to be able to access the game lands for patrol/emergency, or food and cover maintenance. They are posted at every gate. The borders of every SGL are marked with white blazes on border trees (every or every other tree is blazed).

There are no trails open at any time for trail riding on state game lands. If you are handicapped and have a permit for access, you can drive on designated game lands roads during certain hunting seasons (deer). There are unimproved township roads (unpaved) running through state game lands, perhaps that is what you are thinking of. The township roads are open to all traffic.

I am waiting to hear from friends of mine, but tentatively I (we) will be going in from Chaintown, probably can be there around 11...would like to try anyway, at least meet a few of you. I will know a little later this week how many people/vehicles are with me and whether they want to ride all day or just go swim.

So if anyone sees a stock red Grand Cherokee, come say hi, I'll be around somewhere! Otherwise, have a good run...sounds like it's gonna be pretty packed.
