I rarely post about anything I'm doing but Tom is the only guy that seems to be working on anything right now and posting about it so I thought I'd help get the forum moving a little more.
Not doing anything crazy. Just an axle swap. I've had stock 44/30 and I'm swapping to a RJ60 and 44. I'm also swapping out to YJ springs and going SOA at the same time. I'm not crazy about the suspension change but I found a nice set of axles already set up for SOA so I thought I'd try it. If it doesn't work, I'll go back to SUA.
So far I have the rear springs in and the axle set. Height is super tall even with stock YJ springs. I'd like to be about 2" lower but I'll see how it looks after I'm done.
In the picture, the rear has full weight on it, but the rear tire is still about 2" off the ground. Those are 33s and I'm planning to run 35s.
With a little luck, I might get this done in the next few weeks before the next kid arrives. If that happens first, I'll probably update this thread in 2016.
This was a few weeks ago with the 1" RE springs. (1" my ass. They're like 3" springs)
And this was a few weeks before that. Stock 1974 style, BDS 2.5" lift springs
