What should I do with all this steel??

We are cleaning out the warehouse at our new building at work and I was able to get a bunch of steel that was going to scrap. The biggest thing is 60ft of 3x3 .5in angle in 10ft sections. It's HEAVY stuff (10 lbs a foot)!

I have been kicking around the idea of buying/building a trailer for firewood and thought this could be a good start. I would be looking at around a 10x5 trailer and would want to be able to mount a winch and a few other things for loading logs.

My question, should I use it for the frame of a trailer? I could use the plasma table to cut speed holes in it to make it lighter. Should I try to see if someone would trade it for something thinner to keep the trailer weight down? Should I bring more home and sell it all and just buy a trailer and modify it for what I want?? Not sure when the rest is going to scrap, but there is a few hundred feet more in 20ft sections still sitting in the warehouse.

    Give some to me

1/2" is too heavy for normal stuff. I could use a piece or 2 for weight brackets on my tractor, but 1/2" is even way overkill for that.

I'll trade you for some lighter stuff I can use for a trailer!! Or if you need a bunch, hook up the trailer and head to Hermitage and I'll hook you up at scrap prices!

I'd sit on it till prices go back up. Then scrap it and just buy a trailer.

Prepared is only $4.75 a 100# at this time.

Found a guy with a 14x5 BigTex trailer that wants to trade for the steel!! It has a bent axle, but other then that it looks good in the photos. Was planning on building, so installing just an axle will be a lot less work and cheaper then buying the fenders, , wiring, lights, etc!!! Plus I has a title which will make getting plates easier (not that it's hard in Ohio on a homemade traile

Joe, what are the details on your axles? Brakes?
