Well worked on it a bit on and off last few weeks, found one cylinder had low compression 80 so I searched around and found an auction with a bug engine from a 1972, slightly built, bug spray carb, 010 distributor, they said it has a cam, external oil filter/upgrade pump. Got it for $350 so ok. Now to clean it up and get it running.
Its been in storage for atleast a few decades!
Now what to do with the 1300cc in the baja right now? make a VW air compressor from it?

Well I've swapped in doors form a 71 instead of the 66ish doors, rebuilt the rear passenger area then got a better idea and ripped it all out.
replaced the floor pans seats , smashed the front end by being stupid inna woods, blew up the windsheild up with a rogue bootleg firework on the 4th etc
So I had to some drastic front end surgery
