    Broken D30 Shaft, use PowerBait!!!

This weekend I blew one of my D30 drivers side shafts. Three months ago I replaced both u-joints with Moog non-greasable's. I guess with the added stress of the tires and me beating on it a lot recently, those weak shafts couldn't take all that stress. One thing I ran into was getting myself back to school since I didn't have any spare shafts on me. I was able to limp back to a garage locally. I beat the ears of the shaft back into place, inserted the stub shaft into the unit bearing, and then couldn't find any good information on what freeze plug to use for plugging the hole. I found out that the cap off of the Powerbait can was a perfect fit, a little bit of silicone to help seal it and topping off of my fluid was all I needed to do to get me home! Hope this helps someone out for a quick trail fix to keep all your fluid in the diff.
