If you go new, avoid made in China. Can't go wrong with a Mossberg 500.

I got a maverick 88 with a pistol grip somewhere if you want it.

TJ now with the power of a 5.2L vs 2.5L get same gas mileage....crap.
The shotgun. Look up the Century Arms Ultra 87. It's made by a Chinese factory. I don't know if it is all imported except for the receiver and Century assembles it, or a pump shotgun does not meet the import restriction criteria, or the import ban has sunsetted in some capacity, but you can buy it at Dunham's and it has something marked on it like "Imported by Century Arms International, Georgia, VT, Made by Zhong Zhou, China". All the cheap defense shotguns made by Interstate Arms and New England Arms are made in China but they seem to be less problematic. I would do a lot of research on any low price shotgun. Just because the pump shotgun is thought of as simplistic and reliable doesn't mean all takes on it will stand up to regular use or even mild use. I'm sure many people who buy these cheap shotguns, sit it in the closet with one box of ammo, with one test firing (if that) will say they're great shotguns and have never given them a problem haha. I ran an Ultra 87 to complete irreparable failure in 50 rounds of bird shot.

Yowza! That's gotta be something new in the regs. POSSESSION of a single Norinco round, headstamped "94" or more recently, is 10 years at Camp Guantanobama, and a $10,000 fine!
I guess because shotguns are "Biden-approved," they let pieces of them slide...

It's not illegal, it's frowned upon.

Not legal in PA unless registered as an AOW due to barrel length. Out state law differs from federal regs.
So much for plan A. AOW is a 5.00 stamp, isn't it?

Yup, $5 to Form 4 transfer instead of $200. Also worth noting you can't Form 1 an AOW shotgun. It would be a short barrel shotgun regardless of the grip.
In most cases it's easier to buy a shotgun and make a short barrel shotgun identical to an AOW, rather than pay the premium an AOW commands. I haven't seen pricing on these new Mossbergs yet though. If they're economical I'll definitely get one.
