Need is a relative term, do you need it probably not? Do you want it..Yes? can you afford it? Yes...then Buy it!

You know the bids will likely go way up once it gets closer to the end of the auction, right?
It's about to get all kinds of stupid up in here!

If it stays that cheap buy it, get it running and sell it. Folks have been running the price up on them lately. You should be able to make some $

Fine print says the auction winner must be a business.

They're fun for awhile. Driving slow and working on it gets old.

If I get another military vehicle it will probably be a Dodge M37. Easier to store, work on, and drive.

Well I'd be using it for my business truck for gun/trade shows, that not a problem, but it is a bit bigger than I would like I would have to park it at my storage lot so working on it would be a pain. I would love a m715 ror a M37 Powerwagon but those are like hens teeth.

Though if it stays under $2500 I'll go for it.

And what business would be taking you to gun shows?

Do you plan on putting antique or regular plates on it?

Well, It went to $3400 so I didn't get it. But for my business I make auto tracking turrets for airsoft/paintball/cameras/(not guns, because that actually makes the turret into a machine gun since it can auto fire, though I keep on thinking about sending a letter to the ATF to see if it becomes a machine gun if a already registered machine gun is mounted on it.) and I'm becoming a distributor for a binary target company so need something thats large(marketing/logo) and can hold a bunch of bulky stuff while looking tactical.

That's awesome! That's definitely a letter worth sending to the ATF, though I don't know how many MG owners would be interested lol.

Let me know when you get set up to sell binary and I will spread the word to my people.

    You got it all wrong.....

    Get both!!!

(and an M37 is not easier to work on, smaller doesn't always mean easier! My M37 does fit in the garage though... that is nice. )

If bolting to a MG, its just another MG part. If bolting to a normal firearm, that gun becomes the MG. But, then does that make you in need of a SOT... ?

Whoever makes or assembles the final MG needs the SOT. You can sell MG parts (M16 auto sear, etc) and not run afoul of any laws.

BUT keep in mind the ATF can and may change their mind on anything at any given moment. They may take remote or electro-pneumatic triggers as something totally different. You can send them a formal letter asking for clarification at the risk of getting back an answer you don't like.
