    33" challenge

Soooooooooo my buddy and I are thinking we're going to do a 33" tire challenge. Nothing "formal". But after building everything all the way up to 42's and tons... We're both sorta over that life.

BUT, we still want to get out and do some day trips. And the local stuff that HRJA does is pretty tame for a rig on tons and 42's... So we're thinking V8's and 33's lol. It'll make the local trails more challenging, and honestly, we'll break less.

He has a rig with a blown 4.0 and I THINK i'm buying one of his spares (it's long armed with 6.5" of lift, but has a 9" out back and an atlas).

I'll update this thread if anyone's interested in doing some trips with us. We figured it'd make the blues interesting again.

Scouts are so awesome that they have to be handicapped with 31x10.50 thornbirds.

If you park it with the flat spots down they measure as 33s.

I think the plan is going to be to drive these out to either rausch or big dogs and wheel/camp for a weekend. a couple guys are looking at beater geo trackers and stuff too.

basically it's just us going wheeling lol.

See, that is why I've always had multiple rigs - one for every build level! (Though the only thing I currently have on 33's (read 34" LTB's) is Katey's old wrecked purple ZJ which is DEFINITELY no longer a street rig! )

As cool as 44’s sound I can’t see the need/use for something that big around here. I’m not a fan of attempting to drive through a lake like some people are into so, I never really have the need for that. The trails around here are fairly easy on 33’s for the most part and 99% of the time I’ve been completely happy on 31’s. If I can get another wheeling rig together (and can get a day away without a baby) I’d love to get a wheeling trip together. Even if I don’t have a trail rig, I have a quad and a bike that I’d ride out and talk shit on if need be. I miss wheeling!

I’d love to but no vehicle to do it with right now. I’ve always had the dream of racing lemons but there’s just too much $ involved and too many hoops to jump through to get a good team together. The $500 race is more like $5000 (minimum).
