I hate to say it, no amount of donations will help PAP. It's a business in a bad position at the moment; any donations the masses could give would never come close to what is needed to buy that land. Second of all, as much as I love Paragon, is it right to buy a business the resources they need to make money from us? Best anyone can do is continue to support them and bring the curruption that caused this to light. Send lawyers, not money

Then start a lawyer fund.. not a save PAP fund. Generic "save this funds" have a way of, well, not doing anything!

If you want to make a donation to Paragon I would say... GO THERE! Not only will it bring the folks that run PAP the money they need to fight this legal battle, it will show the local government just how much money that PAP brings into the community. The more people that end up heading that way, the more revenues the local establishments bring in, the more taxes the local governement receives. It is a trickle effect. I will not DONATE a penny to PAP, but I would be more than willing to head out there and wheel the area, shop at the local stores, eat at the local establishments, etc...

Yeah I know what ya mean. I dont know that there would be a way to guarantee all funds would go to lawyers fees. If there was then more people would probably donate. Something secure, ran by a bank or third party that can put the money where it belongs, either towards legal fees or into new property for PAP to operate on is an idea. If the PAP deal went down the drain then the money could be donated to a OHV land access group in PA. Lawyers are already involved so to set this up wouldnt be very hard for them.

BTW I signed the petition to show support.

Umm, it cost me about $500 to visit Paragon a couple years ago

I can't afford that right now

I could however afford to throw them $50

Hence my logic on the situation

Doesn't F***ing matter anyway cause my thoughts on this have been shot down in many ways already so I see its useless to continue.

(how dare I think someone would want to waste a weekends beer money on helping support an iportant cause like, oh I don't know, almost EVERY other cause (that close our trails) has going for them
I'm just crazy I tell ya' trying to right an injustice in our sport )

Dude... it has nothing to do with people not wanting to help. Throwing money into the fire just makes more fire. If there were a situation where I knew donated money would go to a specific scenario with a true solution in sight - ROCK! I'LL DONATE! But throwing money at a 22 million dollar need, most likely money down the drain.

I think the local government will respond much better to the scenerio if they are made to realize how much the tourist-based traffic that PAP brings in. If they lose all the wheelers coming to the area the businesses in the area will suffer. If the businesses lose money, then the tax collector gets less. That is the way to show how PAP positively effects the region. IMO, that is the way to make sure PAP stays PAP.
