Savage 11/111 Hog Hunter Christmas Surprise

So, a little over a week ago I bought a few of the last raffle tickets at one of the sportsman clubs I belong to. For over 5 years I've been happily donating to these raflles.
Yesterday, I finally hit!! Merry Christmas to me!!!
A Savage 11/111 Hog Hunter in the .308 flavor, 20" threaded barrel, Leupold VX-Hog 1-4×20mm w/ Pig Plex reticle and 2 boxes of .308Win 168gr Brush Hog ammo. Also in the package is a Silver Stag Wild Boar Hunter 21.5" sword w/ leather sheath.

Going to pick it up tomorrow. But With the holiday weekend here, I will probably have to wait to try out the club's new 300yd range and send some lead through paper.

The guy in charge of the raffle is interested in buying the sword, if I don't want to keep it.
Haven't decided for sure yet until I see and hold it. Not even sure what it's worth. On the Silver Stag site it says $471 but I've seen other sites selling them for $275-$350

Congratulations on the win! I have been going to gun bashes and buying tickets for years and could have bought a few decent guns for what I have spent on those things but never won any of them. Give it a try before you decide to sell it, you may like that gun too much to get rid of it.

Nice, those rifles are a good suppressor host.

Very nice. I love a rifle that still has iron sights.

Well.... I ended up trading the whole package for a Glock model 33/Gen4-.357Sig, a Walther P-22 and a $500 giftcard for Big Buck Sports Shop.
Now I'm debating on getting a 9mm barrel & mags for the Glock. Anyone here ever done that?
