I looked into that same thing when I got mine - even if I lost my argument over a detail like "carrying people or property" (how rediculous of a useless statement could they have come up with) I didn't really see anything to be worried about penalty wise.

When it comes to vehicle laws I typically just do what I want and deal with whatever consequences later. Sometimes ya win, sometimes ya lose lol. I have an old F150 with an antique plate that gets used for Lowe’s runs and is currently hooked to my boat. I can’t say I’ve ever had an issue with it having a classic plate and neither did my dad when he daily drove it for several years that way. I also live somewhat in the country and don’t see a cop on most trips. Good news is that there is a state of emergency and you could take a road trip on a quad if you wanted to right now lol. Might have some explaining to do after, but in state of emergency registration laws go out the window.

I just learned there is a military vehicle plate in PA. Looks like it follows the same rules as classic/antique, just provides a different plate I guess. I wonder what it means when it says "including a trailer". Does a military vehicle plate on the vehicle also act as registration for a trailer without a tag, or can the plate be obtained for a trailer in addition to a vehicle?

I run antique tags on EVERYTHING 25 years and older. There's no reason not to unless you're going to tow with it.

1990 mustang, supergcharged with lightning bolts - antique tags
1990 miata that is dressed up like lightning mcqueen - antique tags
1995 jeep wrangler lifted on big tires and kc lights and all - antique tags
1995 miata in full livery with a massive wing - antique tags
1979 Trans am - getting antique tags when it's inspection is due (didn't want to wait cause we bought in the spring).

I've had no issues. I drive them all. they're all hugely attention getting.

Classic tags to me are worthless. Antique - no more inspection, emissions, and permanent registration is 100% worth it.
taking unsafe rigs to a whole other level

My RC sees so few miles - I don't think it's exceeded a thousand miles in ANY year, since I got it road 'worthy' (broadly speaking....) in 2013 - so it's always emission exempt.

If it EVER becomes a wheeler (or I win the lottery, and Kounts Kustoms gets hold of it ), how would the "antique" plate affect THAT?

The way your use your RC now would be fine for an antique plate.
