I just mowed with my B2301 this week and the yard was wetter than i thought, it just about sank in all of the wet spots. A lighter mower wouldn't have had this issue. I think eventually, i'll own a zero turn as well and sell off this deck.

If you focus on zero turns only two I'd buy for conventional mowing are Ferris and Exmark, my preference is Exmark. Keep an ear to the ground can pick up a contractors trade in cheap. And they will go into the 5k hour range with ease especially as a homeowner.

Man I love those old Economy Power King tractors Ralph.
My buddy has been mowing with one of those for 25 years!
I too find zero turns suck for my property and after the Sears GT6000 we had for years blew the crank seal out for the second time, I ended getting into old late 70's/early 80's Cub Cadet direct drive tractors.
My 1200 Cub has a 4" bigger deck than the Craftsman's 46" and somehow shaved 2 hours off my mow time!
I've still been keeping my eye open for a Compact tractor w/FEL and a 60" or bigger deck - but now I wonder if that's not gonna work as well as I was hoping judging by what you guys are saying about them sinking easily in the soaked yards we've been plauged with the last couple years.

I have a tractor w/FEL and a rear mount mower and it sucked for mowing. Even with a belly mower it wouldn't be that great. The loader just sticks out too far and makes it where you can't get that close to stuff and have to make wide turns.

If you find an excellent condition John Deere 455 I would trade my Kubota Zero Turn for one.

We have a mini excavator and a bobcat at work, we do a fair share of site work and French drains. Keep me in mind when you want an estimate.

Thanks Ralph. I am doing the French drains and moving some dirt. I really need to find a roofer that can work on a steep roof and replace some rafters, etc.

So I ended up with a used garden tractor with a 26 horse Koehler and a real transmission. Works great so far. Looking for a bobcat now.

FYI for gravel I've been buying my 2B from Hildenbrand Supply near Ruffs Dale. It's like $25 a ton and $25 delivery fee.

I just had a triaxle of 3 dropped off for about $450. Not sure how many tons are in a triaxle, though.

23 ish ton in a triaxle. Bullskin quarry is cheapest place to get limestone near you Dave. 450 delivered is close to what my dad paid Hoover last time he got a load.
