The black(brown) driveshaft is from the front of my jeep and the grey one is from a ZJ...I'm going to have the black one extended and the grey one will be going in the front.

Did I understand correctly, you need to shorten the hardlines an flare the ends? I have a flaring tool an stuff, but you can "borrow" one from advance auto or autozone.

I'll let you know if I need a hand...I'll practice a few times before I do the ones that count though.

I'm having them pull it because I don't want to play around in the mud. The guy said he has 3 engines he has to pull before he will get to it so he said it should be out either today or tomarrow.

It's from a 96 auto without a hitch or skid plates or tow hooks. The only thing I forgot to look at was the engine. It was pouring and I guess i was in kind of a hurry, but I figure in the worst case I'll have to gear deeper to 4.10's if its a 4cyl.

That was the only newer axle I could find...the one 97 had both knuckles busted off of it from moving it around and the other was already gone.

Picked up the HP30 today out of a 96'...I paid $150 for it. The one side looks like it has newer balljoints and the other side is missing the greese/dust boot but the ball joints look a lot better than mine do. It also has the better 297x joints. I'll be swapping over my Timken bearings and cutting off the passenger uca.

    Nice!!!

Do you know what gears you got in it?

If your gonna loose the pass. side UCA I would suggest upgrading the driver side upper bolt to something bigger. I dunno what is available but one 3/8" bolt holding the axle from flipping forward seems weak. IMO only.

Yeah, I'm going to try and run 3.55's for now until I regear. The 3 is there the paint was just coming off alittle.

As for the UCA bolt...I know I'll be replacing the bushing and I think the bolt is bigger than stock but I'll have to check on that.

I ended up taking the arms off of it pretty easily ...I thought it was going to be alittle hard.

Well today I got a lot done...I trimmed the front fenders, relocated the vacuum ball and painted the axles

I also got the upper control arm mount for the passenger side cut off yesterday and I got the UCA bushing on the drivers side out last sunday...everyone complains about the UCA bushing being hard to get out...I ended up getting mine out in about 10 minutes

It's slowly coming along! My coils are on backorder, and summit won't get them in until april 4th

I have to say that Jeep looks 10x better than those pics show, Andrew you should have taken a pic of the front end all finished up.

Well it was so nice out today! I got the 8" coils from UPS and I also got the 34"s on...I ended up having to change the passenger side unit bearing on the D30 thats in my jeep right now because it was really bad.
