    Oil pressure

so here is the story, my oil pressure when cold runs at about 40, the hotter it gets, the lower the pressure, and eventually, the pressure drops down to zero when im at a stop. now im thinking this is just the sending unit, because if the oil pressure was actually zero, my motor would of blown by now. I am really not to sure about it though, id like to resolve this problem, because if the guage is wrong, that might cause me a big problem some day. anyone have any experience with YJ's and this problem? or any idea at all what i might need to do?

the oil pressure sensor is $24.95 at advance auto -- part number OPS140. I'd just replace it and see. There's too much to risk if it really is something else.

There we go. Wouldn't it be funny if he bought it at NAPA and that switch was even more defective than the first...so he bought it at advance the second time around...then I'd be right, and you'd be wrong!

I really don't know crap about the I6 4.0's, but on the V8 5.2 you you have to pull the oil pan and remove the pickup (it's about the same as changing your rear main seal), then the oil pump. i guess it's not that bad, but I'd start with the sensor ad Dave suggested.
