I had a Flowmaster Delta 40 on my 93YJ, sounded pretty badass. The Banks cat-back sounds really good too. I would definately suggest against things such as Cherry Bombs or Glasspacks...they sound about equal to your every day shit ass ricer.
If I wanted to hear from an ass, I'd fuckin fart.

I don't want to hear about your purple hornie...

Jokes aside, Flowmasters kick ass, and the glass packs tend to crack in half on the trail if you hit them hard enough. Ask me how I know.

I have a Flowmaster 40 series on my ZJ and it's pretty good. Has a good rumble to it but definitely not ricey. It's sort of subtle though... not excessively loud.

I was considering a Cherry Bomb for my next muffler. Nothing against the sound of a Flowmaster, just that mine seems sort of bulky and it tends to snag a rock here and there. I've always had trouble with it, so I figured the Cherry Bomb would work well as it's so much slimmer. Do you guys really recommend that much against them?

You have a v-8. An I-6 has a completely different tone, sounds like shit with a Glasspack, etc.

I had a flowmaster on my Dodge(which didn't go in the woods) and the damn thing rusted out in 3 years. It sounded great, I just thought that it rusted out alot sooner than it should have. If you settle on flowmaster get the SS.

Heres mine with flowmaster 40, and banks(knockoff) header with a 2.5" tailpipe.

I wouldn't say its really that loud, but its just enough to remind you that you don't have a 4cyl.

    Another vote for the flowmaster.

Mines been on for about two months now so things are starting to break in. I went with the 40 series and magnaflow highflow cat. Im really happy with how it sounds...and I didnt get any kind of 'drone' on the highway like some people say. Plus, if you find yourself using your muffler as a skid plate, the flowmaster is pretty well built to take the abuse. Well worth the money in my own opinion

I'm running a Dynomax Ultra flow ss (stainless). Main reason was size, it was the smallest "muffler" I could find. I wanted it to fit completely inside my belly pan skid, which it does. I was not running a tail pipe last season, just a down spout due to control arms and a gas tank. It was loud in the cabin but the only comments from bystanders was, what the hell did you do to the motor? That thing sounds bad ass. I replied, yeah, sounds like it, that's all. With some slight modifications to the Heep this winter there is room for a tail pipe now. As soon as the steaming pile is ready for the road it's off to my buddies for a tail pipe. Hope it sounds ok, I'll post up when I get to that point.
