Thats pretty cheap from the sound of things, I just don't like the one low range your stuck with and the fact that if something fails then you need a new rocktrac

You got a 231 in your truck already, you could just swap in the new input

Actually I don't. The Comanche is from Georgia, and as the majority of the trucks down there are, it is 2wd. I've drove/rode multiple rigs with the Roc-Trac case, and it will serve me just fine. I don't want the complications of slush boxes, doublers, or conversion kits. Simple is good in my book.

So, can we change the title of this thread to ***MF Steve's Project Wife Beater Commanche*** ...Or should I just start a new one?

Well, I got the rear bumper, tail lights, tailgate, flares, and interior out tonight during some down time before I installed a 1" body lift on a JK. There isn't even much rust on the floor pan...I still think I'm going to cut it out, just to make it easier for the 2x4 rocker tie in. Apparently while Bill and some others were at 4wd Hardware tonight, they came across a badass Comanche in the parking lot. It could be my project's idol.

Yep...it's a diesel. I had Bill invite him to the board, so hopefully when he gets on, he will come across this thread, and I can pick his brain!

TNT's too...So far I know this much about it: TNT Long Arms, BIlstein 5150's, SKyjacker 8.5" coils up front (diesel is heavy), 35" tires, Cummins 4BT.

Not to take this off topic, but I like how Bill's tire looks like it is some massive size from the angle of the picture. Sweet looking truck too. I purchased a '86 T/A from Atlanta, had A LOT of mile on it, but not a spot of rust. Gotta love those southern vehicles.

Those are not Bill's wheels / tires. My guess, that's Jenn's JK with 35's.

Is the front higher than the rear in the truck? or is it just the picture..

Yes, Bill has very nice wheels now that they are no longer shiny and bling like.... again it has to be said what a wonderful Job Steve did on Bill's rims... he uppped the jeep hotness by about 1000 percent.

The front sits higher because he just put the springs in. He has a sagging problem because of the diesel. The springs are only a ew days old, so they haven't settled yet.

Thats neither Bill's or Jenn's Jeep. That looks like a stock Rubicon wheel and tire to me. Jenn's Jeep was with me getting a 1" body lift. And Bill's was parked right next to it.

My bad, I just assumed that was Bill's spare since he was there and he owns a rubicon. I also forgot about the thread with him painting his wheels and they aren't even the stock rubi wheels (man, I need to wake up)

The springs are brand new and they have not settled in yet. I know, I asked him.

It was a stock Rubi in the parking lot. I didn't even have my Jeep there.

Ugh, that doesn't sound good... maybe you can be talked out of it before hand, a week is quite awhile for you to change your mind for sure.
