    63'' chevy swap

I decided to swap my rear springs last week before I came back to school... kinda bent the others a little bit on a run to Wellsville. I knew i was gonna be swapping so i never put bump stops on.........

Here is a picture of the shackle angle

It was quite time consuming trying to get everything lined up right so the truck wouldnt crab walk going down the road but it turned out great. Had to make new front mounts and move them up a good 7 inches and move the shackle mount back about 2-3 inches.

Yikes, you are giving those springs much room to breath are you? I hope that picture is with the spring compressed.

nice, you got it right. you might get alot of axle hop now tho with those soft springs. it should ride alot better.

Thats with the truck sitting in a parking lot. At full stuff the shackle doesnt move back that far cause the springs are so long and fairly flat. I just knew I would have a lot of droop and with a short shackle i didnt want it to swing too far forward. It works good so i dunno.

actually before my springs were so shot i had a lot of axle wrap, it felt like my clutch was chattering just pulling out on a little bit of a hill. It feels pretty tight now and I can even tell the difference when shifting there is a lot less wrap. I also had a good bit of weight in the bed coming back up to school and it handled the weight better.
