I have Syn on my YJ and I love it. Its not as forgiving as steel cable but its pro's out weigh it's con's. It lighter, stronger, safer. Its not as resistant to abrasion as steel is, so you have to mindful of where its going and what its touching.

It also deteriorates over time in sunlight. It does have a protective coating on it, but that will only last so long. Keeping it as clean as possible is a good idea too. Regardless, synthetic is far superior to steel line.

Hands down rope is better than cable 99% of the time. The only thing is you have to take care of it. About the only place cable is better is in abrasion resistance. If you take care of your rope, it will outlast cable times over.

My line has lost most of it's blue color and is about 5 years old but it still works perfectly. I have treated it like crap also. I have never cleaned it or anything. I have had a few situations where my anchor point has broken and the line would just drop straight to the ground. It is awesome.

A regular steel line requires maintenance, you need to keep it oiled. Read up on steel cables and you will find that they require more attention than a synthetic line.

Yup, most of the syn line is Amsteel Blue. Now it is available in different colors. Mine is yellow, although it is begining to fade a little bit.

I love mine, so much better as far as winching the line in and not worrying about kinking the line or anything. Winching is the same, but is lighter and easier to spool out.

I would check on ebay for winchline. I had a $200 gc to quadratec from my lady from my birthday I used on mine. I used that + more $$ to get that and the fairlead. Mine's the 1/8" thick by 105' or 100' and silver in color so it still looks like steel cable...

Shop around. Jay Stull (Stull Auto) used to carry it but I believe he doesn't have it any more, thats where I got mine.

    4WDH is reasonable on price.

    Yes, it is amsteel blue.

I got mine from rockstomper.com before I knew Jay at Stull Automotive. If jay still sells it he makes his with the heavy duty ends, that is the way to go.

I got mine from winchline.com. It was a freebie, but by far one of the best upgrades aside from the winch itself
