    Will someone measure their CJ7 radiator for me?

    We are trying to make something fit.

    I can next time im up the garage, but IIRC the V8's and I6's are different.

    CJ front clip on a YJ frame. We can make everything work but the radiator hits the steering box.

    CJ V8 just has one more row in it. should be able to get some measurements, didnt 2k2wranglerx have a YJ with the CJ clip he may have some insight on your issue?

    keep in mind Ryan is running a 4.3, not an inline 6, so he has more room to play with.

    24 3/4" wide and 20 1/8" tall. Thats a 82 6cly CJ8 rad.

    Thank you. That is the same size I have that isn't fitting.

    you can cut out the area behind the passengerside light bucket with no ill effects (i had to do it on both sides). If you cut that side out, you can probably shift the rad over enough to clear the steering.

    Mine is about the same, however the bottom is shaped with the corners raised like this... ----\_____/---- so the height at the sides is about 1/2 or 3/4 less than the 20 1/8 in the center. I can get a better measurement or pics if you think it will help. My rad is a 3 core for an AMC V8. I'm almost certain it was from 4wd and that was about 5 years ago.
    It's not illegal, it's frowned upon.
