Where to get lights / light bar installed locally?

Hey. Anyone know a good place to have roof lights and a light bar installed locally? My buddy needs this done, but we don't have the skills to do it well.

Hmmm, can't say I know of any place. I am sure a car audio place could run the wiring, but I am not sure about mounting the actual light bar. Maybe one of those "Truck Shops". Honestly, find a friend that can help and do it yourself. I wouldn't even want to think about what they would charge to install lights, that most likely never get used.

Get a case of beer and invite people over. I did my roof lights in a few hours (on a tj) by myself.

I agree that it is a pretty simple job. I think who ever you are the closest to here would be willing to help out. if you are in the north hills area I can do it.

It is for my buddy actually. It is a 2007 FJ Cruiser. It has the factory roof rack. He is geoing to have the lights mounted on a light bar above the windshield. The wires will route into the light bar, then into the rack tubing, down to the foot of the rack where it attaches to the roof near the drivers a pillar. then through a hole into the roof under the foot of the rack and down the a pillar and to the power source. He is near Bridgeville.

Sounds like a nice setup, except for the lights being right above the windshield. Might want to move them back if you can. There will be a ton of glare if you mount them right at the top of the windshield.

They will be not be "right above", about 6 or so inches back. They look nice. All the folks that have them on the FJ forum are from out west where there is an off road store on every corner. Lucky bastages.

Seeing your Xterra makes me miss mine. I had the first one in my town. I forget the year they came out, but it was 2WD Aztec Red. I liked it alot, except in the snow.

Just a comment, Might want to be careful with the light bar. There's been plenty of trails i've been on where if i had a light bar i would have ripped it off on a tree ... .

just be careful! but they do look cool

roof mount lights + PA trails = smashed lights (ask me about it).

Roof mounted lights look great but with the trails we have in this area they aren't really a good idea, I'd look into bumper mounts.
