    Ninja on 60s project

Just a little update for the few who might remember my old thread or care to see the progress. This is my very-extremely-long-term project. I barely worked on it for the past year+ but have been motivated again lately to get it going for the spring. Maybe I'll actually get to use it this year. I just mounted my front coilovers (thanks ralph) and have the front suspension pretty much done now except for some bumps. The rear 4 link is done but the coils are not mounted yet. The 4.3 is plumbed and a lot of the wiring is done. The hydro steering is ready but I'm putting off on buying the hoses. Here are a few pics of some of the progress and a link to the ancient thread: http://www.pgh-offroad.com/forum/sho...highlight=zook

Feel free to point out anything you don't like or think I could improve on. I'm always open to other ideas.

What are you running for pickups in the RCI ?

I've been trying to figure one of those out for a while, but no one can seem to point me in the right direction, other than "run your stock pickup/pump in the RCI cell...blah blah blah"

Looks bitchin man. Love the low stance, and deep ass gears. And that might possibly be the cleanest 4.3L I've EVER seen LOL

Yeah, any comments "about time you worked on that" are very well deserved. I've been low on building funds for a while and parts were hard to come by but I've got the major components finished now and hopefully the motivation to finish it up. I've still got some headaches I'm avoiding but I should be able to fire it up pretty soon.

The 4.3 has a full rebuild so it sure is clean, but untested. I just hope it runs. For the pickup, those -AN in the pics are just finger tight on there. I have not put any fuel to it yet as I've still got a good bit of finish welding to do. I can't say yet how my RCI will work but it came with a pickup tube in it that I'm going to run at first. I'll just keep it full, but I hope to upgrade to a multiple pickup setup later. I used to have a link to a nice setup but I can't find it now. I'm running an external pump.

Why do my F'in pictures show as links?

Looks good! It's hard to get motivated to work on things when you dont have money or time to put towards it. I've been in that boat for the last few months, I think I'm out of the slump now too.

Post up if you ever need a hand. I'm right up the road.

    No worries, didn't take offense.

I didn't think you got in slumps... every time I look on here, you've got something else going. If I got half as much done in the garage as you did, this thing would be finished, broken, and redone by now!
