    15' Test Fit

Place where I am getting my wheels doesn't haven't any 15x8 wheels I am interested in and have been talking to people on nissan boards and have heard that some 15x8 wheels will fit on my truck and some won't just wondering if I could test fit some 15's anyone has? Thanks. The lug pattern is 6x5.5 and either 3.75 or 4 bs would work. It probaly wouldn't matter about the hole pattern because I am just seeing if brake caliper will clear the smallest part of the wheel. Stock wheels are 17x8 (but standard edition came with 16x7 wheels I believe)

Things we would need to know in order to tell if anyone has something that will fit: 15" x ?? (I'd suggest a 15" x 8".) What bolt pattern? What backspacing?

I'd bet the 15" wheels people are fitting are aluminum. Steel wheels generally have more contours to the rim itself, to create more strength within a thinner material. Thus causing the inner diameter to be much less than what is acceptable for brake clearance. Whereas an aluminum wheel is generally flatter along the inner circumference, and the outside circumference is machined out for lighter weight, strength, etc.

Also, what size wheels did it come with stock? (diameter and width)
If I wanted to hear from an ass, I'd fuckin fart.

I run the US Steel Daytona 84 series on my Xterra in a 15X8 with BS of 4.75. I did have to grind down the front calipers just a little when I changed the front brake pads. I just ordered another set from Summit to use with my on-road tires. They are $45 each.

THe same thing is true for Tacomas. I had to go with an old style Pro Comp steelie to clear my front calipers. If you are in the Butler area, you are more than welcome to try whatever you want. I think I have 4 or 5 sets of wheels right now.

I have an 03 pathfinder. My rotors are 11.8 in in Diameter. Xterra's disc brakes are 11.1 in in diameter. I'm not sure about the calibers though. I sorta don't want to go through all the hassle of grinding down and ordering wheels that might not fit. But the price difference between 15 in wheels and tires and 16 in wheels and tires is so much.
