    Need some Diesel Tech...

Im going to be replacing the headgaskets on a GM 6.5L turbo diesel this week. I'm fairly confident I have/know everything im going to need to do this, but was wondering if anyone had any good links or info on doing it <<cough, cough, matt>> to make sure I have everything covered.

    TIA...

I know he is probably replacing at least one head and a head gasket on his 6.5L at some point. Seems to have everything figured out, think he found it all on one of the diesel specific forums. Have you looked around on any of them?

Not really. The few that I have all require you to signup to read the tech threads. I dont mind doing this, but hate to sign up just to read some tech and never return to the site. If thats what I have to do, I will, just thought someone on here might be able to guide me in the right direction first.

The 6.5's were far less than bombproof, but the price is right compared to other options in some situations.

From what I understand the headgaskets are a pretty common thing to go on the 6.5L?

I've never done much with diesel's before, so is there anything special I should be looking for?
