To tell youi the truth it is not humming at all, i have been out atleast ten times already and also alot of climbing in 4low and no probs(knock on wood). And evenm if it did hum i prob wouldnt hear it being is my fornt end is ****ed, need two bearings, inner tie rod and drag link bushing boot is ripped

so highway driving is a lil nerve racking yet fun as is...........

So as far as it will last we shall see but i did get it for free from my buddie on NEC so if it goes again o well........ 2 hours of work and 30-40 buskc later and it's fixxed.

well yinz were right, i popped open the dif today to take a look at why the 4wd was makin noise and have to run it backwards to come out and the pinion teeth are startin to get chipped up at the end and the ring is as well. Flame away as we all make mistakes, it DID however lastthrough alooooooooot of wheelin and beatings since installed. So im in the biz of finding another one and a place to get it backlashed and set

I have a set of HP 3.55 gears with spiders/carrier/etc all in good shape if your interested.

Was the initial failure just the spider/side gears? That is the only way this makes sense.

Don't have the money right now to get it fixed like that or else i would of.

First initial failure was spiders, not the sides i believe, the pieces are in the garage still and i could look.
