sounds good, looking at the pics it looked like a solid Y link which knowing RRO I didnt doubt for a second it was.

I understand, I went back to look at the pics before realizing why you said that.
But you're right, I wouldn't put it past them either!
Yep, put it on, and when I was on my way to the post office stopped at napa for the missing shock bushing, they had one that'll work.
I think I might work on it tonight instead of heading to the gym.

I can lift the transmission with one finger, I'm sure the tcase is even lighter, that's not a workout!
Tonight's a gym night, tomorrows a wrenching night. Going to start alternating
awesome progress!
I wonder how far it will make it out of the parking lot this time?
Ya, alternator is new now. I don't know why I didn't just pull the batteries from the tow rig that day and run on that, probably would've lasted all day, but I didn't want to hold everyone up.
So... almost a year later... the thing is back in the garage, and I'm working on it.
Have the tow-bar on it (need to replace a few bolts, though.)
Today I'm trying to figure out what's up with the seizure-inducing turn signals, the wiring is completely hacked up and I'm trying to return it to a usable state. I might get to welding up the rear axle tubes where Stever cut indo them putting brackets on, need to fill with weld, grind down, and brace. Then fill with fluid and play around in my back yard...
As most of you know my plans changed again - I'll be wheeling this with a for-sale sign on it, but don't really want to sell until after next winter when I'm done putting the buggy's 1-ton driveling under the 5.9 grand cherokee. That's going to be a very fun rig, and back to the kind of wheeling I enjoyed the most. No towing, no trailers, no truck just for the hobby - but with a driveline I found to be completely indestructable!
Most important modification... License plate!
Makes me want my Samurai back.

Finished the wiring for all of the rear lights. It didn't even have reverse light wiring or working brake lights when I bought it.
Wired in diodes to keep flowback / crosstalk from the tow vehicle
Burned the crap out of my hand plugging in a battery charger with a bad plug.
OUCH!!!! Sami looks good tho.

To sum it up: I have the opportunity to buy the house I've been renting at a great rate, but must close within 3 weeks. Cash talks. I can always build / buy another rig, but being a homeowner is a hell of an opportunity I'm not passing up for a hobby rig.
