Well I know theres some fullsizes but are there any Broncos? I always wanted to lift mine when I drove it but knew nothing about it at the time, then again I was 16 and dumb.

this thread has definately turned into a disaster. all i really wanted to know was if a full size rig would work wheelin with you jeep guys. and i believe from the first 10 or so posts that the answer was "not really".

IIRC Yzeater is building a bronco. It looks pretty good. I'm not saying that to encurage anyone, it's an older deal and he's put a bit of work into it.

I think it's him, I could be wrong.

Uhhh reading this thing from the beginning you originally wanted to know if the Jeep was a sweat deal or not and would get you from point A to point B whether it be on the street or on the trails without breaking.

Mentioning of whether or not a FSJ could fit on some of the tighter trails didnt come until later. Which also led to my reason for being confused because so many questions were being asked.

No harm no foul dude, the one thing you'll come to learn that this forum is good for is straight up no bullshit answers....this thread is a case in point.

Other than the fact that this thread is too long, I'd say that the bottom line is buy what you want and wheel what you want. You strike me as a fullsize person and if that's what you want to go with than do it. In the end you want to have fun with what ever is yours. Just know that you WILL have body damage. If that's ok with you than great. Chances are if you get into it enough it will become a buggy anyway.

Sorry you didnt get the answer you were hoping for I guess? Everyones going to have their own opinions on what works but in the end go with what you think would work best for you.

Dude I cant even stand to catch a glimpse of that show for even a millisecond when I'm flipping through the channels .

It just bugs me how fawking retarded television has become these days. Now maybe thats jealous speaking because I dont have my own show where a bunch of hot chicks compete to get with me but still.

My favorite quote from that show or any show similar to that (think MTV stuff) is " All these other girls/guys are here just to get famous and be on tv...I'm the only one here that is really looking for love with (insert star here) YEAH RIGHT BIT**

just for the hell of it. this one's already lifted on 35's and like 1200 bucks:

    http://pittsburgh.craigslist.org/cto/980188310.html

    this is cool but 3500:

    http://pittsburgh.craigslist.org/cto/980119683.html

injected, small block, D60 rear, d44 front, 36's for 2k

    http://pittsburgh.craigslist.org/cto/978569883.html

    here's a lil YJ with a straight 6 for 2500

    http://pittsburgh.craigslist.org/cto/974529876.html

this one is pricier. 4,000 but it has a 4.3 swap

    http://pittsburgh.craigslist.org/cto/974414412.html

this is 3,000 but it's on 38's at least

    http://pittsburgh.craigslist.org/cto/971474164.html

    here's a wrangler on 33's for 1750

    http://pittsburgh.craigslist.org/cto/970653221.html

    lifted 99 xj for 2800

    http://pittsburgh.craigslist.org/cto/966066516.html

i'd say ANY of those would pretty much own that bronco on little ass tires... i'm just sayin.

thanks wranglerx. i've seen all of those. both 89 wrangles are mush. i mean those fawkin things both belong in junkyards. that ford truck is awesome. he came down to 2k or 2500 (i forget) but its just to dam long to hang with you jeep guys. the cherokee was ok but he's not bending on the price and i think wreckers is a better deal. i spend about 2 hours a day on cl looking for stuff. been everywhere from erie to johnstown.

Aftermarket axle made with a better quality material. Yeah that is easy to give up when it is only the 5.

    Check the floors for rust!!!!!!!!!!
Older XJ's are notorious for the floors rusting out.

The other thing to watch for is the D35 rear axle or even the 27 spline 8.25 at that. On 30" tires it shouldnt be much of an issue, but if you start beating on plan on locking it, you'll start running the risk of breaking shafts/gears.

Im suprised that 92 has a reubilt motor...makes me wonder what condition everything else is in. The 4.0 is a very strong motor and to have 75k on a rebuilt motor throws a red flag to me.

Craigslist is a pain in the ass sometimes but it's paid off for me multiple times so its a necessary evil I guess. Stick with it and maybe you'll get a reply...maybe he/she is still at work, out of town, etc.

Its taken people a couple days to get back to me before
