My Jeep is wheel is 4.5 back space.........will 5.5 back space work ???

just as a spare ...my rims 16" 5x4.5 with 4.5 backspace....i have a 98 cherokee lifted 4.5in..........i want to use a liberty rim for a spare cause i cant find the right size rim without spending 150 on a new one...anyway the liberty rim is 16" 5x4.5 with 5.5 back space so is the backspace to big? the rim is $20 so i want to use it......small difference and its only a spare...and will my 265/75/16 fit on it? the rim is 16x7 ..i think 7" is wide enuf.......let me know ...thanks

Pretty sure that Liberty's are 5 on 5 not 5 on 4.5... but the backspacing should be ok.

ok well the forum lb sent me 2 says that liberty and xj both 5x4.5 but that forum didnt list the back space..but i looked up the specs and backspace for xj is 4.5 and on liberty is 5.5.........so the wheels are the right pattern its the back space thats questionable..and the first guy said would work...so......its a 20 dollar rim 5 min from my house il just go buy it and or try it on my jeep there and make sure it clears full turning radius...thanks........................

Liberty uses a 5 on 4.5, but I agree back space should work as a spare.

Test fit is the best idea.
