Traded in my ssg-82 for a bushmaster AR-15 and some ammo. Now what to add to it?
Was thinking a 9mm upper(or could get another lower and have two ), 9mm is a hell of alot cheaper than .223 right now.

Congrats on the new AR!!! Welcome to the club...
Looks like you need some optics, or at least iron sights.

Ya, probably just going to throw a wallymart 3-9x scope on it, a 20" barrel is a bit much for a reddot.
Why throw a POS on an expensive gun? Save some money and get one scope and get a good one the first time.
Nice gun btw.

Nice rifle Gabe... I have alot of AR goodies. If you are looking for something in particular, let me know. I have a 37mm launcher that would look pretty good on it.
37mm... . . . . dont tempt me, though I could make a chain saw bayonet
There is a good deal for an AR w/ ammo on FJcruiser forums right now. $1500 I believe. If anyone wants more info, let me know.

.....then again that used to be my motto until I got the Jeep...now THAT doesn't even work half the time.

Unless its loaded up w/ good shit or a couple thousand rounds of ammo...its not really a good deal at a price like that. Link?
+1
I agree with that as well. At the gun store I frequent there are Stag Arms AR's going for around 850 give or take that already come with some goodies (telescoping stocks, front handgrips, etc.)
$1500 is WAY too high in my opinion unless its got some sweet stuff on it like an Acog scope or some other pricey mods.
BTW Gabe nice pick up! I was looking at Bushmaster AR's when I was first interested in getting one and I was especially interested in the optics ready version like the one you picked up. I definitely wouldnt go cheap on the scope either, get a decent one for when you feel like reaching out and touching something.

There is a good bit of ammo and a ton of clips. Just thought I'd pass it along.

Yes of course it does I just couldn't remember it last night, and didn't feel like getting out of bed to find my receipts.
It's Johnson's Gun Depot, and it's attached to the Ace Hardware if you are looking for it.

Everytime someone installs a Super35 kit, an angel looses its wings. Do you want that on your shoulders every time you get in the jeep? Why, I think not...
Well I got a 3-9x scope on it, I need to find a way to move it forward its in the way of the charging handle. Also need to sight it in, when from the 50yrd down to the 25, then to the pistol before I was even hitting the paper. Now to just figure out how to mount a bipod on that free float foregrip.
hey, i just joined the site and saw there's gun discussions ontop of all the 4wheeling? my kinda place. i have this problem with a new FAL i bought, it doesn't want to cycle correctly. no matter how much i adjust the gas regulation. at first i thought it was the crappy wolf ammo i was firing out of it (.308 has gotten expensive, hasn't it?) so i got surplus m80 to see if that was the problem. well, the wolf ammo didn't want to feed correctly, and the m80 didn't want to extract! any advice out there?
